Wow! The experts sound so ignorant!! When did hair define who or what you are or who you can be or what you can be? Its even more amazing that all the uneducated comments seem to be coming from the so-called female experts. We are not our hair, it does not define us or give us characteristics but I can agree that we as ladies have preferences or can choose certain styles. I would be amazed to know what they think about a woman who rocks an afro? – LADY P
I can’t even read all of this. I fucking hate how our hair length says ~so much about us~. This is why when the boy told me I should grow my hair out I literally almost punched him and/or burst into tears. He really didn’t mean anything by it.
There’s definitely such a divide between girls who are mad jealous of how I pull off the pixie look, and girls who think long hair is better BECAUSE OF MEN’S STANDARDS. And then those people that think I’m a lesbian.
A lot of people think short hair = confidence, but this article and I’m sure MANY others seems to be saying more along the lines of short hair = low self esteem, wanting to ward off men, UNATTRACTIVE. the fuck? I think most believe the former. I certainly do. 0 confidence with long hair, minimal but rising confidence in myself now THANKS.
and it all does quite upset me because yep, guys aren’t that attracted to me. I think it’s my attitude more than my hair. but I suppose my lesbian feminist man hating haircut helps! (or rather, doesn’t help)
Read the comments, other people are also denouncing this article. It’s utter ridiculousness, and it disappoints me that many of these supposed “experts” are women. When are we going to stop this women vs women business? How are we supposed to advance in society if we’re constantly putting OURSELVES down. I’m sick of this, ugh.
