I hate when you’re trying to talk about something incredibly important to you, something that you don’t talk about often, and the other person just can’t be serious. They keep making jokes regarding the topic and you can see that they just can’t see past themselves or they aren’t really listening, because if they were listening they’d hear the urgency in your voice; the vulnerability in your tone. And eventually you just give up. You tried to open up, but the other person just clearly wasn’t deserving of your openness. It’s disappointing, though.
