My African HAIRitage Style (MAHS) is a global lifestyle platform dedicated to celebrating African heritage, identity, and expression through beauty, culture, and intentional living. It is also hair intelligence platform dedicated to helping people understand, nurture and care for African hair through structure, education, systems and intentional care.
Built from lived experience, cultural understanding and systems thinking, MAHS exists to bridge the gap between hair styling, hair science, consistency and long-term healthy hair practices.
At MAHS, African hair is not approached as a trend. It is understood as heritage, identity, data, routine, culture and care.
Our Story
MAHS began from a deeply personal place.
What started as a desire to understand African hair and showcase our heritage from a mother’s eyes to her daughter’s evolved into a broader mission: from helping others move beyond confusion, inconsistency and product overwhelm into intentional, structured hair care. To tell authentic stories, stories rooted in culture, shaped by experience, and guided by purpose. Where identity is not questioned but embraced.
Through years of observation, research, systems thinking and practical implementation, MAHS developed into more than a lifestyle and beauty platform. It became a framework for understanding hair patterns, routines, behaviour, consistency and long-term hair wellness.

Preye Ombu, also known as Lady P or Priestly Queen, is a UK-based Agile Leader, daughter, visionary, systems thinker, writer and founder of MAHS.
With a background in Agile delivery, organisational transformation and systems design, she brings structured thinking into lifestyle, hair care and personal growth.
